First Afternoon
I’m trying hard to not be intimidated by all the information. It was exciting to see how many websites there are out there to discover. And the Delicious website is the most fantastic revelation of all! Part of the reason I never really used interesting websites in class was that I could never keep track of them. I had post-its placed all over my computer reminding me of sites I once found that I loved, but then forgot about in the heat of the semester. I love how I can organize the websites through tags too. It appeals to the anal part of me . . . if only I could “deliciousize” my entire office and messy shelves.
I found one great resource this afternoon with a worksheet pdf that I can use with my first lesson on Hamlet. It asks some great questions about how to begin visualizing the action and tone of the scene. I think the students will do a much better job at inventing blocking for the scene after they complete this worksheet. It was frustrating to not be able to save the pdf pages directly to delicious, however. Instead, a page from a larger website is saved I will have to go through some extra clicks to find the actual page.
